May has come and gone

So May has come and gone and what a busy time! A sudden flurry of calls has meant another 'flock' of Idlers have taken wing to their new homes. We have been very grateful to customers for their wonderful comments and thanks – and particularly photos. Many have commented on the soporific qualities of the Idler - Mr Bentley commented that the last time he’d nodded off in the garden was when he was in a pram!

Of course, the flipside is sometimes when I picture our happy customers lolling about on their Idlers that we’re possibly contributing to the budget deficit - possibly we could rig up some kind of swinging turbine to help with the UK’s energy needs!? Could be an idea – needless to say I came up with this idea whilst on the Idler. As our first customer, John Bourke, said 'Idleness is the source of all genius!'

June, we hope will be better weather wise but if not the Idler is, of course, made for the British Summer. And on that note, may we wish Her Majesty the Queen a very happy Diamond Jubilee.
