| Story synopsis Elizabeth Durrant, co-founder of Wilverley, resurrected the Idler swing seat from an original 1930s design. Elizabeth's parents still have the original and since none could be bought, one had to be made! Such is their longevity that many originals are still being used in gardens throughout the UK. What makes the Idler particularly unique is the pocket sprung cushions, which give unrivalled comfort and are perfect for use outdoors. These were able to be made thanks to the experience of George Marchant a 94 year old upholsterer, who, over the years has worked in the London palaces. George's specialist advice enabled Wilverley to stay faithful to the original design using traditional materials and techniques rarely used today.
